What this actually is
Village Public Health is building health information that young people in Arkansas would actually use. Before we build it, we want to hear from you.
A town hall is a guided group conversation, about ninety minutes. We ask questions, you answer in your own words, and we take notes. There are no right answers and no test. You can skip any question, and you can leave at any time.
Students and parents both belong here. You register separately and you talk in separate groups, so everyone can be honest.

Your answers
What we ask, and why
Registration asks who you are, where in Arkansas you live, and a few questions about your background and what health education you have had. We ask so we know who is in the room before the conversation starts, and so we can tell whether we are reaching the whole state or only part of it.
Who sees it
Only the Village Public Health team running the town halls. We do not sell it, we do not publish it, and we do not share it with your school. When we write about what we learned, we write about patterns across everyone, never about you by name.
What is optional
The gender question is optional. Several questions have a “prefer not to answer” choice, and choosing it costs you nothing. Agreeing to the audio recording is separate and optional, and you can join without it.
Questions people ask
How long is it?
About ninety minutes, including a short welcome at the start.
I am under 18. Can I come?
Yes. If you are 13 to 17, registration will ask for a parent or guardian to give permission. It takes about a minute and happens right in the form.
Do I have to turn my camera on?
No. For the virtual session we do ask that you join from your own device with your own microphone, in a place where you can speak comfortably, because it is a group conversation and we need to be able to hear you.
Will people know what I said?
We take notes to understand what young people across Arkansas are telling us. Nothing is published with your name on it.
Do I get anything for coming?
The in person sessions have food, and students can earn two service learning hours.
